HamasPalestinian Legal Advisor, Diana Buttu, says “Absolutely not” and “you are blaming the victim” to Hamas being the aggressors here. She also claims that is not a question of Israel responding, it is a question of Israel initiating attacks on Gaza, and that their actions are a violation of International Law. [Listen for Jarrett laugh after she says that statement.]
Says “Absolutely not” to Hamas using humans as shields and firing rockets from high civilian population areas and if Hamas is responsible for the high death rate of civilians. Her defense is that Jarrett has never been to the Gaza Strip and he does not know what it looks like that Israel is targeting Government buildings and schools. Note, she never directly answers the question of Hamas firing rockets from civilian areas, in numbers around 6,000 over 18 months, or comments about using Mosques as armories.
She also says that the Hamas rockets do not have explosive heads. Well the last time I checked a .45 bullet doesn’t have one either, but that doesn’t stop it from killing someone either.
She also says it is wrong to blame victims because Israel is using US backed weapons to attack Gaza. That these are war crimes are Israel should be prosecuted. So obviously this woman justifies any rocket that Hamas fired into civilian areas prior to Israel attacking Gaza wasn’t a war crime?
Jarret informs Buttu that he has been to the Gaza Strip, that he has met with terrorists, and that this was the end of the interview. Buttu continues to tell Jarret that he’s wrong and the feed ends.
PWNED!
Here Buttu talks with CNN. Here again she talks about how over 1600 people were killed from Israeli attacks prior to Israel attacking Gaza, but never talks about the over 6000 rockets that were sent from Gaza to Israel in the same time. And she says the only way for peace, is for Israel to end the occupation [of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem].
She really does defend Hamas in this video saying they are a political organization with domestic roots that is portrayed differently outside the world. And that this is a “homegrown organization”.
This is what can happen when you ask “What if?” “What if everything I’ve been told, been taught is a lie?” And then sent out to decide what is right and what is wrong for oneself.
Mus’ab Hassan Youself is the son of Sheikh Hassan Youself, the man who is one of the Hamas founding members. Mus’ab has decided to abandon his Muslim faith, denounce his father’s organization, move to America and become a Christian. Youself has sought asylum in the US and now attends an evangelical Christian church in San Diego, CA.
This is a person, who was “inside” Hamas. Who’s father is one of the founding members of Hamas. This is a person, who has turned away from Islam, turned away from Hamas, turned away from his family and made an informed decision about what Hamas really is. This is the person that everyone should be listening to. “I call upon the Palestinian people to open its eyes and see what Hamas was doing…”
He has said the true nature of Hamas and radical Islam was discovered during a stint in an Israeli prison. He renounced his Muslim faith, left his family behind in Ramallah and converted to Christianity.
“Islam is not the word of God,” said Youself. “If you want to be offended it’s your problem. But you know something? Go study. Think for a second that I might be right. So wake up, look at your path, see where you’re going. Are you really going to heave with 72 virgins after you kill yourself and kill another 20 people?”
About his father (who is seen left in the center, wearing the blue shirt) and Hamas, Mu’sab said Hamas betrays the Palestinian cause and tortures its own members. He also states;
“The Hamas leadership, including my father, they’re responsible; they’re responsible for all the violence that happened from the organization. I know they describe it as reaction to Israeli aggression, but still, they are part of it and they had to make decisions in those operations against Israel [for] which there was the killing of many civilians.”
Mu’sab has said there will never be lasting peace between Israel and Hamas.
“There is no chance. Is there any chance for fire to co-exist with the water?” “Its not about Israel, it’s not about Hamas: it’s about both ideologies.”
AUGUST, 2008
Mus’ab announced that he left Islam. From an article on Haaretz titled: “I’ve left a society that sanctifies terror.” (Right are the three founding members of Hamas with Mus’ab’s father’s picture on the far left)
A moment before beginning his supper, Masab, son of West Bank Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousef, glances at the friend who has accompanied him to the restaurant where we met. They whisper a few words and then say grace, thanking God and Jesus for putting food on their plates.
It takes a few seconds to digest this sight: The son of Hamas MP who is also the most popular figure in that extremist Islamic organization, a young man who assisted his father for years in his political activities, has become a rank-and-file Christian. “I’m now called Joseph,” he says at the outset.
Masab knows that he has little hope of returning to visit the Holy Land in this lifetime. “I know that I’m endangering my life and am even liable to lose my father, but I hope that he’ll understand this and that God will give him and my family patience and willingness to open their eyes to Jesus and to Christianity. Maybe one day I’ll be able to return to Palestine and to Ramallah with Jesus, in the Kingdom of God.
Nor does he attempt to hide his affection for Israel, or his abhorrence of everything representing the surroundings in which he grew up: the nation, the religion, the organization.
“Send regards to Israel, I miss it. I respect Israel and admire it as a country,” he says.
“You Jews should be aware: You will never, but never have peace with Hamas. Islam, as the ideology that guides them, will not allow them to achieve a peace agreement with the Jews. They believe that tradition says that the Prophet Mohammed fought against the Jews and that therefore they must continue to fight them to the death.”
Is that the justification for the suicide attacks?
“More than that. An entire society sanctifies death and the suicide terrorists. In Palestinian culture a suicide terrorist becomes a hero, a martyr. Sheikhs tell their students about the ‘heroism of the shaheeds.’
And yet, in spite of the criticism of the place he left, California can’t make the longings disappear.
“I miss Ramallah,” he says. “People with an open mind. … I mainly miss my mother, my brothers and sisters, but I know that it will be very difficult for me to return to Ramallah soon.”
Below are excerpts from an interview which aired on Al-Hayat TV (Cyprus) on August 19, 2008. In this video, he talks about his childhood, his father, his involvement with the hatred of Jews, and his path to leaving Islam.
JANUARY, 2009
Fox News did a documentary with Mu’sab Hassan Youself titled “Escape From Hamas” that was shown on Fox News. Below, in six parts, is the entire documentary.
PART ONE
PART TWO
PART THREE
PART FOUR
PART FIVE
PART SIX
RANT ON
Believe it or not, no rant, but congregations to this brave young man who made a free will decision for himself. That in itself says a lot since Hamas does not encourage independent free-will thought, but encourages sightless unthinking followers instead. And obviously the young man was so disturbed at what he realized about Hamas and Islam that he turned his back on his own father and family. By rejecting Islam he has turned into a apostate which a fatwa can be called on him. The four major Sunni Madh’hab (schools of Islamic jurisprudence) and the Twelver Shi’a Jafar madhab agree that a sane adult male apostate must be executed since the Qur’an states that Allah (God) despises aspostasy. [Qur’an 3:72, 3:90, 16:106, 4:137 and 5:54]
Now if only more people would listen to what he has to say and think for themselves instead of being mindless and sightless sheep being lead to a slaughter all in the name of God.
“There is no proportional response to terrorism” - New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s response to question from CNN’s Betty Nguyen if Israel’s bombing is extreme.
Bloomberg says that a country’s government has a responsibility to protect it’s people, and that Hamas broke the cease-fire several months ago. Prior to the cease-fire, Hamas was only sending one or two rockets a day. When the cease fire ended, Hamas decided to send hundreds of rockets and mortars across the border on a daily basis, a large increase in attacks thus intentionally trying to kill more innocent Israeli civilians. Thus, Hamas was the one who started the conflict back up again, on an increased basis and larger scale, and thus Hamas’ refusal to end the rockets is what is killing the people of Gaza. Hamas, who claims to be a government, is not protecting its people’s best interests but putting their own people in the middle of the attack.
Hamas has been sending rockets across the border since 2005 killing innocent civilians in Israel, and Israel finally retaliated and they are made out to be the “bad people” since they are killing innocent civilians while trying to take out terrorists.
Take a look at the video from CNN below.
And I leave you with this to ponder. If all the people in Gaza are just innocent civilians, they why on December 14th, did hundreds of tens of thousands of people show up in Gaza to support Hamas’ 21st anniversary of existence? Maybe, just maybe, because they support terrorists.
“The mass rally – with its sea of green flags – is being seen as a show of strength by Hamas…”
“The Associated Press said the crowds filled an area in Gaza City which can accommodate 150,000 people.”
“In a statement on its website, one of Hamas’ senior officials, Mahmoud Zahar, paid tribute to the organization on its anniversary. ‘Hamas has gone from stone-throwing to guns and rockets, from a support of a few thousand people to a backing of millions in Arab countries and around the world’, he said.
“about 300,000 Hamas supporters crowded into a dusty outdoor arena and spilled over into nearby streets. Many waved flags and sported baseball caps in the Islamic group’s signature green color.”
“The huge turnout at the Gaza rally was a pointed display of strength directed at both Israel and Fatah, and further evidence of the Muslim militant group’s unchallenged control over 1.4 million Gazans.”
So tell me, doe the pictures below, taken on Dec. 14th, 2008s look like a forced celebration of a few innocent non-Hamas supporting citizens of Hamas? Because to me, it looks more like an entire region of terrorist supporting civilians who are celebrating the existence of Hamas. And I would assume that 1.5 million people, if they did oppose Hamas, could easily overrun the amount of Hamas terrorists that do exist in Gaza if they really wanted to.
So quick question to think about while watching the below video from 2000 first before we get to 2009. The man in the middle, when the spread asks “Who here supports Hezbollah” does it not seem that the man in the middle raises his hands, not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, not five times, but six times to show his support for Hezbollah in this October 2000 video? And also, what do you hear from the crowd? Do you hear support or laughter?
Well, the man in the video is Mahdi Bray. After media attention on the above video, Bray claimed he was just having a bit of fun, and not approving Alamoudi’s words in a Northern Virginia Daily news article.
The majority of the people they were kind of raising their hands, and kind of cheering, and so on because this was so uncharacteristic of al-Amoundi. We didn’t know he had a problem with law enforcement. He was considered the pillar of the American Muslim community.
You saw me pumping my fists. You didn’t see me raising my hands. If they had shown the audience, you would have seen people in the audience raising their hands and falling out laughing. For him to come and make these kinds of radical rants, no one took him seriously.
Mahdi Bray has worked with International ANSWER, a group who has recently organized over 50 Anti-Israel protests in the United States in the past week, a group who was founded by members of the Workers World Party (WWP) and members of the Party for Socialism and Liberation(PSL). I recently blogged about ANSWER who has been accused for a few years of anti-Semitism, and supporting Hezbollah and Hamas.
American Muslim Council (AMC)– Advisory Board. This groups claims to fame are, The Chairman of this group was imprisoned for terror-related convictions in 2003. AMC was a part of the National Coalition to Protect Political Freedom. AMC created the National Islamic Prison Foundation below. AMC was a longtime supporter of Sudan’s National Islamic Front, which was and still is on the State Dept.’s list of terrorist organizations.
Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC)– Advisory Board. Formed a coalition to repeal and amend the Patriot Act. MPAC asserts that Hezbollah “could be called a liberation movement.” Found and executive director Salam AL-Marayati justified the existence of Hamas as a political entity and a provider of social programs and “educational operations”. MPAC justified the 1983 bombing of the American Marine barracks in Lebanon as a “military operation” rather than a terrorist attack. Claims Israel was established by terrorism and that they are the “worst terrorists in the world.” And a lot more.
Interfaith Alliance Foundation – Advisory Board
Coordinating Council of Muslim Organizations – President
National Islamic Prison Foundation (NIPF) – Head. Created by American Muslim Council. A Saudi-supported outreach program seeking to convert US prison inmates to the Islamic faith. Tells them when they are released from prison, they will be able to find food and shelter, as well as assistance in finding employment, in virtually any mosque or masjid. The indoctrination of American inmates is a strategy described in al Qaeda training manuals.
Imam Jamil Defense Fund – National Mobilization Chairman. Organization provides legal aid for Jamil Abudullah Al-Amin (aka H. Rap Brown), who was twice on the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitivies” list and is now serving a life sentence for murdering a police officer.
Muslim American Society and ANSWER Anti-Israel Protest in Washington
This protest was held this past Friday at the Israeli Embassy in Washington and then headed to the Egyptian Embassy. Brian Becker, who heads ANSWER also made an appearance which can be seen in video 3 below.
These crimes could not be committed [against Gaza by Israel] and would not be committed without the explicit consent and support and financing provided by the Bush Administration. And so in that sense we are here to say, that this is a US backed Israeli atrocity and justice demands that the United States Government cut all aid to Israel today, otherwise and because of it the US is guilty of war crimes too.
[Oh okay, so I guess it didn’t matter that Bush just gave $85 MILLION dollars to the UN for Gaza and the West Bank right? No aid for Israel, no aid for Gaza. An eye for an eye.]
Bray, meanwhile, had to say, “We’re here to say the violence must stop.” “And we’re here to say that there must be a ceasefire, a truce and that basically the sanctity of life is important.” He also had to say in one of the videos, that the people were there to represent the Muslims. [Wait, isn’t this SUPPOSE to be anti-war, and not about anti-Semitism?]
Once again, just that, kind of a layout of what we want to do here today.
First of all, we’re here to protest the occupation of Palestine. We’re here to protest the slaughter in Gaza. We’re here to protest the 18 months of siege that has taken place in Gaza, before the bombs dropped, people were dying because they couldn’t get food, medicine, medical attention, clean drinking water, etc. So, that’s why we’re here.
[Sure, I’ve given my own terms for a ceasefire and truce. Gaza stays the way it is, Israel stays the way it is. However, if a rocket comes from Gaza into Israel, that means that Israel can send a Hellfire missile back across to Gaza. If two rockets come from Gaza, then two Hellfire missiles go back across to Gaza. Fair deal. But if Iran sends anything over to Israel, then that’s a whole different ballgame.]
One angry protestor spoke against Barack Obama wanting to know why he was silent and why he wasn’t president now. But pointed out when Georgia was attacked by Russian, Obama spoke on that issue against Russia. That Obama doesn’t seem to represent “Change”.
And that “President Obama, despite all he said on television, that is illegal. That is immoral. That is inhuman. And reason for him to make a decision now.” And additionally said that Obama is a subservient to the current Administration.
[Can be seen and heard in the first video below. Obama has in the past stated that Israel has the right to defend itself. And obviously, these protestors want the United States to start a war with Israel. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. If these people want help to defend Gaza, then they can just take the next plane over there, and join Hamas. But instead, they choose to stay safely here, and whine, instead of paying homage to their country, and serve the country they seem to show more allegiance to than the United States.]
And remember ladies, gentlemen and kiddies, I’m not Jewish, I’m not Muslim, and I’m not Christian. I don’t look at a person by their sex, their race or their religion. I look at a person by their actions. And all I see are anti-Israeli hypocrites in these protests. It was okay when Hamas was sending rockets across the border and killing civilians and children in Israel. It was okay when bombs were set off near schools and school buses in Israel. But now, the tables turned, and the bullied becomes the bully. An eye for an eye.
And so it begins… unfortunately it is because of the following that makes an innocent bystander start to have to choose sides.
And the organization that seems to be organizing most of these protests is A.N.S.W.E.R. (Act Now To Stop War and End Terrorism).
This US-based anti-war organization, was formed three days after 9/11) organized the demonstration. The ANSWER Coalition, Muslim American Society Freedom, Free Palestine Alliance, National Council of Arab American and Al-Awda, International Palestine Right to Return Coalition are calling for Tuesday (today) to be a National Day of Action to show solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza. Demonstrations are being organized, for TODAY, all over the country via ANSWER in over FIFTY different cities [and luckily none in my state].
What I find interesting in all of this is that if A.N.S.W.E.R. is really an anti-terrorism organization, they why are they not protesting Hamas, who are the real terrorists? Why are they calling Israel the terrorists?
And if they are a true anti-war organization, they why are they not protesting against both Hamas and Israel, but instead choosing to only protest against Israel?
Oh wait, all of their protests have been pro-Palestinian or pro-Muslim, and have frequently supported Hezbollah and Hamas. They also support rights and unconditional amnesty for illegal immigrants. “Several anti-war protests in San Francisco organized by the ANSWER Coalition featured imagery and slogans some considered anti-Semitic, including the burning of the Israeli flag, chants of support for terrorist groups like Hazbollah and Nazi-like arm salutes.” ANSWER’s defense? “We strongly abhor all forms of racism and bigotry, including anti-Semitism. At the same time, we don’t believe that criticism of Israeli government policies should be labeled as anti-Semitism any more than criticism of U.S. government policy should be labeled as anti-American.” [Yea, but when I’m not happy with what the US government is doing, I don’t burn the American flag, or try to turn it into a NWO thing.]
And ANSWER was founded by USAG Ramsey Clark and the Workers World Party (WWP). Many of ANSWER’s leaders are member of the WWP and members of the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL). Oh and they sell Che t-shirts on their website. For a more interesting viewpoint on ANSWER, have a look at Protest Warrior’s website of “Operation Wolverines” against ANSWER.
A group of about 200 protesters yelled “end the occupation” and held signs calling for a halt to the bombings in Gaza outside the Texas Capitol. Some had Palestinian flags and signs that read “free Palestine” or “Cease Fire.”
“It’s genocide. It’s a holocaust,” said “Frank from Arlington” about Israel’s police in the occupied territories. “I don’t say that to diminish the horror of the holocaust, but that’s what they’re doing.”
Over 100 people from the Boston Coalition for Palestinian Rights and several other human rights and pro-Palestinian organizations held a protest. Organizers say more protests are to follow later this week.
In NYC, over a thousand protestors flooded Rockefeller Center in Manhattan on the 28th. The protestors chanted “Free Free Palestine” and “While you’re shopping bombs are dropping.”
Pro-Israel groups organized a rally in support outside the Isreali consulate in Midtown and dropped leaflets calling on Hamas to adhere to a cease-fire. The group “Stand With Us” said “Hamas and its supporters bear sole responsibility for any harm to Gaza’s civilians.”
About 75 people gathered at Monument Circle on Monday evening to protest Israel airstrikes in the Gaza Strip. The demonstration, which was pulled together at the last minute by word of mouth, included Palestinian-Americans marching around the Circle holding candles and signs. One read, “Mothers are grieving in Palestine and Israel.” Another was scrawled with the words, “300+ dead? Not kosher.”
Bashar Ghanem, 32, a heating and cooling technician said he immigrated to Indianapolis from Nablus six years ago and is now a U.S. citizen. “The war is not equal,” he said. “Israel’s army has all kinds of high-tech weapons.” [But it was fair when Hamas was sending daily rockets and mortars into Israel? And who said war was fair?]
Anas Al-Marouq, 22, a student at Indiana University-Purdue University Indy who lived in Hebron from ages 12 to 17 said, “A lot of people say if Hamas wasn’t firing rockets as Israel, this wouldn’t have happened, and it’s true, but if there wasn’t a huge embargo on Gaza, there wouldn’t be a huge resistance. You can only trap a cat in the corner so long until it starts fighting for itself.” [But if the dog (Israel) fights back at the cat(Hamas), then it’s wrong, right?]
A “few hundred” demonstrators tied up Market Street traffic in San Francisco. Organizer Lubna Morrar said, “We are just representing our people of the Gaza who have been bombed every day,” she said.
The Arab Organizing and Resource Center held a protest speaking of the “connections between Palestinian and other indigenous struggles against genocide as well as the complicity of US taxpayers in the atrocity.”
AROUND THE WORLD
Just a small sampling from around the world.
In Sydney, Australia today, Pro-Palestine protests brought the city to a standstill, as more than 1000 Arab Australians marked on the US Consulate in an anti-Israel, anti-US rally.
In Beirut, Lebanon, tens of thousands of Lebanese Hezbollah supporters were involved in a protest carrying Palestinian, Lebanese and yellow Hezbollah flags and banners supporting the Palestinian people. Hezbollah has vowed to support Hamas, but has for now held its fire.
In London, England, about 2,000 protestors marched outside the Israeli embassy. Protestors threw red liquids at the gate of the Israeli embassy.
In Vancouver, Canada, about 250 pro-Palestinian demonstrators were chanting “Viva, viva intifada!” and “1-2-3-4, we don’t want this racist war!” and “Occupation is a crime, from Iraq to Palestine.” Meanwhile across the street 8 pro-Israel demonstrators shouted “Hamas is a terrorist organization” and waved the Israeli flag.
In Barcelona, Span, “hundreds of people” protested with a Palestinian banner in front of the Israel-Spain chamber of commerce, demanding the government of Catalonia region end its trade agreements with Israel. Some carried placards reading “genocide” and “racist”. The protest followed a demonstration outside the Israeli embassy.
In Baghdad, Iraq about 1,000 protestors chanted “No, no to Israel” and burned Israeli and American flags.
In Switzerland, there was a protest, however I can not find the number attended or even a news article about it.
RANT ON
First, one Gaza official is saying that the Palestinian death toll is at 364. Of that, the U.N. is saying around 62 of the dead were civilians. That means over 300 terrorists were killed. Yes, you read that right, terrorists. Hamas is not a government. Hamas is not an army. Hamas is not a country. Hamas is a terrorist organization. They are a group of militia acting like terrorists who self imposed their own rule. And as I have said before, those who choose to live in the Gaza Strip under their rule obviously agree with what they are doing, thus the residents of Gaza are terrorist supporters. It would seem that the “innocent civilians” would greatly outnumber Hamas. It is a war on terrorism in an area that holds 1.5 million people.
I find it interesting that when Hamas was sending rockets and mortars over to Israel on a daily basis, killing innocent civilians on nearly a daily basis for years, that the Palestinians around the world never EVER said that it should stop, that it was wrong. I never EVER heard one Palestinian cry for the rights of the Israeli children. Especially when fighters launched missiles at Jewish day care centers and schools. But when their children are killed, its a totally different situation, right? Its genocide then.
And if you think all those people that live in Gaza are against Hamas… have a look at the below video. This video was shot on December 14th, of this year at a celebration marking Hamas’ 21 year anniversary.
And I haven’t heard ONE Palestinian talk about how WRONG it was on Christmas Day when Hamas lobbed a mortar at the Erez crossing just as a group of Gaza Christians were standing in line to travel to Bethlehem for Christmas.
Or what about all the years of suicide bombings, which one included a school bus?
Or what about on Monday when Hamas sent a missile into a bus station at Ashdod?
Can you imagine living like this on a day to day basis in Israel? “It’s totally disrupting life. Here you have 15-20 seconds to prepare, to get cover. It’s so disruptive to the lives of the people who are living within the rage … and it’s a daily thing … People send their kids to school and they don’t know if they’re gonna come back.” Tell me, how would you feel if you have to live like this on a daily basis? How would you feel if you walked out the door that day, not knowing if you would ever see your family alive again? EVERY DAY? Or how would you feel if you knew that at any moment, everything you own could be destroyed by a rocket. And how well would you sleep at night knowing that at any time a rocket could drop on your home? I’m pretty sure that you get mad right now, if your neighbor throws trash in your yard, right? And what would you think if Tijuana started lobbing a few rockets across the border to the United States to San Diego on a daily basis. Or if Canada started thrown a few mortars across the border to Albany, NY? Exactly how long would that last?
Now that Israel has had enough, and decided to eradicate the terrorists, they are wrong, and are in violation of International Law? How can you be in violation of International Law when you attack terrorists and their supporters? Whine, whine, whine. Now that you are on the losing end, you claim FOUL and want fair play. Sorry.. too late for that. Now Hamas and those living in Gaza, whose number is obviously rather high, now get a taste of what they have been handing out.. and they don’t like it. Too bad.
But Hamas also wants to eradicate Jews all in the name of Allah. Hamas has previously claimed all of what is now Israel and the West Bank and Gaza, and its charter calls for the destruction of Israel. Until Hamas recognizes Israel’s right to exist, this “war” will NEVER END.
But it seems that the “fight” has come to the United States. Prior to this incident I wrote about Israeli and Palestinian “skirmishes” and “disagreements” in my “Israeli and Palestinian Violence on UC Berkeley Campus” back in mid November. And just like in the current news, back then, and for the past 10 years, if Palestinian students picked on Israeli students it was ignored or okay. But when Israeli students fought back, it was a “bad thing” and a “wrong thing”. Why is it that the world only reacts when Israel fights back, but never when Hamas attacks Israel?
I refuse to take sides however, if Israelis and Palestinians bring their demonstrations and violence into my neighborhood, I will choose the side of the Israelis. And no I am not Jewish, nor am I Muslim. Heck, I’m not even Christian, if you really want to know. But I have MAJOR problems with the innocent are picked on and wrongly accused. I’m not saying that Israel is innocent in all of this, I’m simply saying that I don’t like bullies who claim they are the victim.
If you really want someone to protest, protest Egypt who’s border guards are opening fire on those same innocent civilians who are trying to escape Gaza, and it has been reported that some Palestinians have been injured as a rest. Egypt has added an additional 300 guards to the border. And President Mubarak said that Egypt will keep its border crossings with Gaza closed until Abbas regains authority over the territory. Why not protest a country that is keeping those who wish to flee the fighting stuck in their country? But no, lets point fingers at Israel and the United States instead, right? And lets not point fingers at Hamas, who wants to eradicate the Jews, and has in the past, for years, sent daily rocket barrages across the border into Israel, right? Let’s just blame Israel instead.
Or we could always discuss the new news, about Hamas bringing back Crucifixion. Did you know that Hamas “legislators” passed a Shari’a criminal code for the Palestine Authority, which authorizes crucifixion? The Quran says, “5:33 Those who wage war against God and His Messenger and strive to spread corruption in the land should be punished by death, crucifixion, the amputation of an alternate hand and foot or banishment from the land: a disgrace for them in this world, and then a terrible punishment in the Hereafter.”
Yea, that’s REAL progress. A REAL step… a real step backwards that is. I have bars of “Give Me That Old Time Religion” going through my head now…
Seriously, what does Hamas do? Sit around on a Saturday night saying, “Hey, I’m bored. Let’s go have some fun, fire a few rockets over to Israel, and kill a few people.” Then afterwards do they say to each other, “Let’s go see what we can do next to make ourselves even more barbaric! Stoning, hanging, beheading and burning is just so last year….” To blaspheme a line from the Bible: “Do NOT forgive them, Father, for they know PERFECTLY well what they do.”
HOWEVER, there is the old saying of “overkill”. There is a point when you have to say “enough”! Israel has said no to a cease fire, and Hamas continues to send rockets back across to Israel. Hamas needs to realize that Israel could totally destroy Gaza if they want, and Israel should really realize that there is such a thing as overkill, and not try genocide. But will either of them realize this? Probably not.
And with everyone hating and protesting the United States along with Israel, joining the side of terrorists pretty much in every Arab nation, let us hope this does NOT start a world war, especially with a new President in office. Or is this what Biden was saying, when he said that Obama will be tested within the first six months of his Presidency? Could this push the United States into Martial Law with all the protesting going on, and possible violence between Palestinian and Israelis? Between Muslims and Jews? No, Im not a conspiracy person, as I have said and shown however, lets take a step back and look at the entire picture.
- The US is in a recession, and depression in certain areas. - Unemployment is at a 26 year high, and reaching depression numbers in certain areas. - Wall Street failing, 401ks disappearing overnight. - Banks getting a bailout, yet monthly mortgage payments rise. - Record levels of foreclosures. - More homeless. - States running out of money, asking Washington for help. - The Big 2 bailout, and deciding in Feb/March if they are solvent. - States cutting back on health care. - A war in Iraq. - A war in Afghanistan.
I’m sure I’ve missed something, but can you come up with any other time in history when all of this is going on with the United States and the world?
Gee good thing we have about a three month stockpile of food, that could be pushed to about 4 months, and it’s pretty portable too. Just time to start stocking up on water now.
EDIT: As of December 30, 2008 the website that held these videos, Truth Tube TV has disappeared. It was there on December 29, 2008, but as now totally disappeared. You can still see parts of the site, without the videos of course, via Google cache.
This is not fake. This is not Hollywood. This is real life in the Middle East. These are the people that want the entire world to convert to radical Muslim, and if not, then you die, according to their “religion”. I hesitated to make this post however, this is what we are not being shown via the MSM.
The followers of Mohamed are filed executing three men by first pouring assumed gasoline on them, and then throwing them into a pit of fire while they shout Allah Akhbar [God is Great].

Beheading of a hostage (EXTREMELY GRAPHIC)
Beheading of Paul Johnson
Paul Johnson was a American who was employed by Lockheed Martin who was kidnapped in Riyadh in 2004 and was beheaded. While disposing of the body, Abdel Aziz al-Murgrin, the self-proclaimed military leader of al Qaeda in Saudia Arabia was killed. Three other terror suspects were also killed, including the second most wanted man in Saudia Arabia, Rakan Alsaykhan, who had close ties with the al-Qaeda mastermind of the October 2000 bombing of the USS Cole.

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, everyone knows by now that al Qaeda released a video tape addressed to Obama. In the tape, Ayman al-Zawahiri, al Qaeda’s number 2 “man” condemns Obama for his stand on Israel and Afghanistan. And I chose to not blog about it, at least not at the time, because I had a hunch, and my hunch has been confirmed.
BTW, can anyone translate what the words are in the picture to the right for me?
In the tape Zawahiri can he heard saying, “In you and in Colin Powell, [Condoleezza] Rice and your likes, the words of Malcom X (may have mercy on him) concerning ‘house Negroes’ are confirmed.” […]
Now Malcom X did do a speech in which he addresses the “house negro” and the “field negro” in which Zawahiri is speaking of however, if you listen to the tape, the word “negro” is never said. And although I know absolutely no Arabic, I was pretty sure there wasn’t a word for Negro in Arabic.
Zawahir uses the term “abeed al-beit",” which literally translates as “house slaves.” But in the al-Qaida supplied English subtitles of his speech that include the translations as “house negroes.” And as we all know, using the term slave when speaking of someone who is Negro is verbotten.
So my question is this: Who chose to be politically correct? Was the video initially released without subtitles and they were added in by SITE (the organization that monitors such releases), or did someone from al Qaeda decide to be politically correct?
And for more thoughts to ponder. Will Obama respond to the tape, or rather will he respond to the tape after checking with his zillion advisers since he doesn’t have any experience dealing with terrorists. Or will he choose to be mum on the matter, in typical Obama fashion, and not respond at all.
The days of playing president in the bullpen are over, its time to step up to the plate and see what he’s got.
And BTW, instead of listening to the news of selected excerpts from the video, here’s the full video. I’ve also done a transcription, since things like this disappear after a time.
As a note, the YouTube video is not complete however the transcription is. The complete video can be found on the Internet Archive however, the reason I did not embed that video is it is for auto play.
Zawahiri : In the Name of Allah, and all Praises is due to Allah, and Prayers and Peace on the Messenger of Allah and on his family, Companions and allies. Muslim brothers everywhere: Peace be upon you and the Mercy of Allah and His blessings. As for what comes after:
Barack Obama has won the presidency of the United States of America, and on this occasion, I would like to send several messages. First, a message of congratulations to the Muslim Ummah on the American people’s admission of defeat in Iraq. Although the evidence of America’s defeat in Iraq appeared years ago, Bush and his administration continued to be stubborn and deny the brilliant midday sun. If Bush has achieved anything, it is in his transfer of America’s disaster and predicament to his successor. But the American people, by electing Obama, declared its anxiety and apprehension about the future towards which the policy of the likes of Bush is leading it, and so it decided to support someone calling for withdrawal from Iraq.
The second of these messages is to the new president of the United States. I tell him: you have reached the position of president, and a heavy legacy of failure and crimes awaits you. A failure in Iraq to which you have admitted, and a failure in Afghanistan to which the commanders of your army have admitted.
The other thing to which I want to bring your attention is what you’ve announced about how you’re going to reach an understanding with Iran and pull your troops out of Iraq to send them to Afghanistan is a policy which was destined for failure before it was born.
It appears that you don’t know anything about the Muslim Ummah and its history, and the fate of the traitors who cooperated with the invaders against it, and don’t know anything about the history of Afghanistan and its free and defiant Muslim people. And if you still want to be stubborn about America’s failure in Afghanistan, then remember the fate of Bush and Pervez Musharraf, and the fate of the Soviets and British before them. And be aware that the dogs of Afghanistan have found the flesh of your soldiers to be delicious, so send thousands after thousands to them.
As fore the crimes of America which await you, it appears that you continue to be captive to the same criminal American mentality towards the world and towards the Muslims. The Muslim Ummah received with extreme bitterness your hypocritical statements to and stances towards Israel, which confirmed to the Ummah that you have chosen a stance of hostility to Islam and Muslims. You represent the direct opposite of honorable black Americans like Malika al-Shabazz, or Malcom X (may Allah have mercy on him). You were born to a Muslim father, but you chose to stand in the ranks of the enemies of the Muslims, and pray the prayer of the Jews although you claim to be Christian, in order to climb the rungs of leadership in America. And so you promised to back Israel, and you threatened to strike the tribal regions in Pakistan, and to send thousands more troops to Afghanistan, in order for the crimes of the American Crusade in it to continue.
And last Monday, your aircraft killed 40 Afghan Muslims at a wedding party in Kandahar. As for Malik al-Shabazz [Malcom X] (may Allah have mercy on him), he was born to a black pastor killed by white bigots, but Allah favored him with guidance to Islam, and so he prided himself on his fraternity with the Muslims, and he condemned the crimes of the Crusader West against the weak and oppressed, and he declared his support for peoples resisting American occupation, and he spoke about the worldwide revolution against the Western power structure.
[In Video, Malcom X Speech]
Malcom X: New bridges must be built, because in the minds of the majority of our people today, Africa is too far away. So the only way you and I can point them in that direction, is build new bridges. We have to have the type of understanding of Africa, and the type of understanding of our people here in order to build a bridge. A contact. A line of communication between the two. And once the lines of communication have been established and our African brothers can stretch forth their hands and reach us. And we can stretch forth our hands and reach them while there’s nothing this blue eyed man in this country will be able to do to you and me successfully from that day onward.
[End video]
[In Video, Malcom X statement]
Malcom X: One thing I found in all of my travels is that all of the Africans, not only the Africans but the Asians and the Muslims look upon us as their long lost brothers.
[End video]
[In Video, Malcom X speech]
Malcom X: There’s a world wide revolution going on. It goes beyond Mississippi. It goes beyond Alabama. It goes beyond Harlem. What is it revolting against? The power structure. The American power structure? No. The French power structure? No. The English power structure? No. Then what power structure? An International Western power structure.
[End speech]
Zawahiri: That’s why it wasn’t strange that Malik al-Shabazz [Malcom X] (may Allah have mercy on him) was killed, while you have climbed the rungs of the presidency to take over the leadership of the greatest criminal force in the history of mankind and the leadership of the most violent Crusade ever against the Muslims. And in you and in Colin Powell, [Condoleezza] Rice and your likes, the words of Malcom X (may Allah have mercy on him) concerning “House Negroes” are confirmed.
[In Video, Malcom X speech]
Malcom X: You have to read the history of slavery to understand this. There were two kinds of Negroes. There was that old house Negro and the field Negro. And the house Negro always looked out for his master. When the field Negro got too much out of line, he held them back in check. He put ‘em back on the plantation. The house Negro could afford to do that because he lived better than the field Negro. He ate better, he dressed better, and he lived in a better house. He lived right up next to his master in the attic or the basement. He ate the same food his master ate and worse his same clothes. And he could talk just like his master – good diction. And he loved his master more than his master loved himself. That’s why he didn’t want his mater hurt. If the master got stick, he’d say “What’s the matter, boss, we sick?” When the master’s house caught afire, he’d try and put the fire out. He didn’t want his master’s house burned. He never wanted his master’s property threatened. And he was more defensive of it than the master was. That was the house Negro.
But then you had some field Negroes, who lived in huts, had nothing to lose. They wore the worst kind of clothes. They ate the worst food. And they caught hell. They felt the sting of the lash. They hated their master. Oh yes, they did. If the master got sick, they’d pray that the master died. If the master’d house caught afire, they’d pray for a strong wind to come along. This was the difference between the two. And today you still have house Negroes and field Negroes. I’m a field Negro.
Zawahiri: You also must appreciate, as you take over the presidency of America during its Crusade against Islam and Muslims, that you are neither facing individuals nor organizations, but are facing a Jihadi awakening and renaissance which is shaking the pillars of the entire Islamic world; and this is the fact which you and your government and country refuse to recognize and pretend not to see.
As for the third message, it is to the Muslim Ummah. I tell it: America, the criminal, trespassing Crusader, continues to be the same as ever, so we must continue to harm it, in order for it to come to its senses, because its criminal, expansionist Crusader project in your lands has only been neutralized by the sacrifices of your sons, the Mujahideen. This, then, is the path, so stick to it.
As for the fourth message, it is to the lions of Islam, the Mujahideen. I tell them: may Allah reward you in the best way for your historic heroics, which have ruined America’s plans and rendered its projects ineffective. So be firm and resolute. Your enemy’s stagger has begun, so don’t stop hitting him.
And I say to my brothers the Mujahideem in Iraq in general and the Islamic State of Iraq in particular, and to its Amir, the towering mountain Abu ‘Umar al-Baghadadi: your enemy has admitted defeat, and the forthcoming stage is expected to be dominated by conspiracies and betrayals in order to cover the American withdrawal, so you must persevere, for victory is in an hour of perseverance.
And I tell my brothers, the lions of Islam in Somalia: rejoice in victory and conquest. America is gathering its wounds in Iraq, and Ethiopia is looking for a way out, and for this reason, the stage of conspiracies and machinations has begun. So hold tightly to the truth for which you have given your lives, and don’t put down your weapons before the Majahid state of Islam and Tawheed has been set up in Somalia.
And I tell all Mujahideen everywhere: the Hubal of the age has begun to falter and recede, and Allah has granted you success and honored you by making you the most important cause of that, so be resolute on the path of Jihad until you meet your Lord while He is pleased with you.
And my fifth message is to all the world’s weak and oppressed. I tell them: America has put on a new face, but its heart full of hate, mind drowning in greed, and spirit which spreads evil, murder, repression and despotism continue to be the same as always. And the Mujahideen of Islam, by the grace of Allah, continue to be the spearhead of the resistance against it to restrain it from injustice, aggression and arrogance.
As for my final message, it is to the American people. I tell it: you incurred defeat and losses from the foolish actions of Bush and his gang, and at the same time, Shaykh Usama bin Ladin (may Allah preserve him) sent you a message to withdraw from the lands of the Muslims and refrain from stealing their treasures and interfering in their affairs. So choose for yourself whatever you like, and bear the consequences of your choice, and as you judge, you will be judged.
And our final prayer is that all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and may Allah send prayers and peace on our Master Muhammad and his family and Companions.
I think there is more to this video, as in the captioning after “bear the consequences of your choice” there is a comma, not a period.
As for Zawahiri’s message to the American people about bin Ladin, too bad bin Landin can’t speak for himself anymore………

According to the Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center (IICC) in a July 8, 2008 announcement, and based on an Israel Security Agency report, in 2007 approximately $120,000,000 was transferred to Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip to finance terrorist organization activity, about 30% of which was earmarked for financing Hamas' da'wah.
A da'wah is an extensive network of civilian institutions and is Hamas' main source of power. These institutions include banks, schools and camps for children and include "preaching and incitement to terrorism and hatred for Israel and the Jews by running an independent educational system and mosques to brainwash Palestinians with its radical Islamic ideology," according to the IICC.
These indoctrines begin in kindergarten and continue through university level and operate summer camps, more than 100 of which are operated by the "Union of Good". Some of these camps have paramilitary or even fully military activities intended to prepare the young for enlistment into the ranks of the various terrorist organizations. Training at these camps include using guns to subdue an enemy, practicing capture, taking hostages, and workshops for home-made rockets, among other things.
A child at a Hamas summer camp, when asked what he wants to be when he grows up, replied, "I want to be a military man, a holy warrior, to liberate this land, because it is our and does not belong to anyone else."
Additionally, funds are given to family members of suicide bombings, funds are used for "feasts" at mosques and for food donations, it funds orphanages, healthcare clinics, soup kitchens and even sports leagues.
Today, the U.S. Treasury Department on Wednesday named an Islamic charity as a group aiding Hamas militants in the Middle East and prohibited Americans from dealing with the "Union of Good" organization. The Treasury Department said that the Union of Good funnels money to Islamist fighters in the West Bank and Gaza, adding that the government will seize any funds in the United States controlled by the charity.
The following entities have been added to the OFAC's SDN list:
UNION OF GOOD (a.k.a. 101 DAYS CAMPAIGN; a.k.a. CHARITY COALITION; a.k.a. COALITION OF GOOD; a.k.a. ETELAF AL-KHAIR; a.k.a. ETILAFU EL-KHAIR; a.k.a. I'TILAF AL-KHAIR; a.k.a. I'TILAF AL-KHAYR), P.O. Box 136301, Jeddah 21313, Saudia Arabia [SDGT]
[OFAC - Office of Foreign Assets Control] [SDN - Specially Designated Nationals] [SDGT - Specially Designated Global Terrorist]
It only took the Treasury Department four months after Israel announced the same, and six years with Israel outlawing the "Union of Good" and Hamas da'wah institutions in 2002. They both have probably had a good idea about the "Union of Good" sending funds to Hamas since late 2000, and certainly since 2001. Why so long? Well, that's a good question for which I don't have an answer for.
Although the "Union of Good" was outlawed in Israel in February 2002, in July of this year, the Defense Minister of Israel, Ehud Barak, signed an order banning 36 global fundraising organizations to the "Union of Good" [PDF] as Israel stepped up efforts to cut off flow of cash to Hamas government. On that order was a list of 36 organizations with an entry of the following: "23. The Union of Good Lebanon - Dar Al Fatwait (Includes US Charitable Organization)"
But by putting the "Union of Good" on the Treasury Departments list, this makes it a criminal offense for U.S. persons to provide material support or resources to Foreign Terrorist Organization's ("FTOs") and requires financial institutions to block all funds in which FTOs or their agents have an interest, per Section 302 of the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996.
Among the types of businesses covered they this regulation, are banks, securities and commodities broker/dealers, investment companies, currency exchanges, issuers, redeemers, and cashiers of traveler's checks, checks, money orders, or similar instruments, credit card system operators, insurance companies, dealers in precious metals, stones or jewels, pawnbrokers, loan and finance companies, travel agencies, licensed money transmitters, telegraph companies, businesses engaged in vehicle sales, including automobile, airplane or boat sales, persons involved in real estate closings or settlements, and casinos.
Such "financial institutions" must notify OFAC Compliance about any blocked funds within ten days of blocking, otherwise they face civil (not criminal) penalties to be assessed against them in an amount equal to $50,000 per violation or twice the amount which should have been blocked, whichever is greater.
The "Union of Good" was established in October 2000, shortly after the beginning of the last Palestinian Intifada against Israel. It is comprised of 50 Islamic "charities", including Hamas and Hezbollah affiliated organizations. The "Union of Good" was suppose to raise funds for only 101 days, but its initial success led the founders, mostly Hamas members, to maintain its operations to date.
The "Union of Good" is headed by Dr. Yussuf al-Qardawi, who is the source of spiritual and religious authority for Hamas and others in the Palestinian territories. Al-Qardawi, who established and leads the Department of Islamic Law (Shari’a) at the Univeristy of Qatar and the Institute for Sunnah Research there, is also on the board of directors of the Al-Taqwa Bank, designated by the US as a terrorist funding organization in November 2001.
Al-Qardawi established legal justification for "financial jihad [al-jihad bil-mal]" in a lecture he gave in May 4, 2002 in the UAE. According to him, "collecting money for the mujahideem (jihad fighters) was not a donation or a gift but a duty necessitated by the sacrifices they made for the Muslim nation."
To the left is part of a "Union of Good" table of shaheeds from 2002, including suicide bombers in Israeli cities. It designates the allocations of funds to their families through the Hamas-affiliated Islamic "charitable society" Al-Tadhamun in Nablus.
If you do not know what Hamas is, they are a LARGE Palestinian Muslim militant movement with origins in the late 1960s when it was started by Sheikh Ahmed Yassin. It is important to remember that although Hamas is a Muslim based organization, this does not mean that all Muslim's are part of Hamas or terrorists. Hamas is a fanatical organization that has it's own charter, a document that is independent from the Qur'an. And in fact many Palestinians [Muslim] do want peace between them and Israel [Jewish].
Yassin established al-Mujamma' al-Islami in 1973 to coordinate the Muslim Brotherhood's political activities in Gaza. Yassin founded Hamas as the Muslim Brotherhood's local political arm in December 1987, following the eruption of the first intifada, a Palestinian uprising against Israeli control of the West Bank and Gaza. Hamas published its official charter in 1988.
Here are some highlights of the principles of Hamas as stated in their Covenant or Charter:
■ "Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it."
■ "The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up.
■ "There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors."
The first Hamas suicide bombing took place in April 1993. Five months later, Yasir Arafat, the then-leader of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), and Yitzhak Rabin, then-prime minister of Israel, sealed the Oslo accords - an Israeli-Palestinian peace pact that eventually unraveled. Rabin was assassinated by an Israeli right-wing in November 1995. Arafat died in November 2004.
Hamas is believed to have killed more than five hundred people in more than 350 separate terrorist attacks since 1993 through suicide bombers, mortars, short-range rockets, and small arms fire.
Department of the Treasury, The Terrorism Sanctions [PDF] - This is actually very scary of how many people, groups and organizations are listed on here. 115 pages long.
